The Presidents comment about the Energy Bill as a solution to our unemployment crisis is the second silliest statement coming from the White House. The first was the loudly proclaimed, Transparent Administration. Not being a Harvard graduate, not being involved in community organizing, not being involved in Chicago politics, one is hindered in the ability to understand the relationship between the current unemployment problem and the future energy bill. That understood let us move forward. The point: As a nation, we are suffering the largest, growing unemployment numbers encountered in years, finding solutions for the unemployment concerns exist with most Americans. The media reported the concern of our growing unemployment crisis also exist with the President.President Obama chose to address the nation in support for the Energy Bill linking it as a future solution for the growing unemployment numbers. Those comments raise a flag signaling the Administration does not have a clue on how to fix our current unemployment crisis.The Presidents words extolled the virtue of the Energy Bill passed by the House. Without getting into the right or wrong of a particular bill, to use this item to address our current unemployment crisis is like holding a bikini in front of a very overweight person and telling them, see this sleek, modern swimsuit, it will fix your weight problem. Then to identify the manufacturers of the bikini as a key leading to a solution for the unemployment crisis is ludicrous.Maybe using a bikini to encourage someone, maybe using it as a goal can have a positive effect on an overweight individual. The problem with that concept is the necessary step required to reach the size that fits is missing. Using the energy bill as a solution to unemployment fails to address how the transition protects our frail economy and bolsters an anemic jobs market.Much like the bikini, it is a good goal, a worthy destination but is not a solution to our current problems. It may be that job creation in the high technology proposal in the energy bill will happen someday. Technology in new energy areas will create manufacturing jobs but only after theories, concepts develop into viable energy sources meeting the goals of new energy.Until that is feasible, the largest job creating machine in the United States should be unleashed to fix this economic concern. Without doubt, the power of this source for jobs creation dwarfs the capacity of our power hungry government. It is more efficient, it is more flexible, it is more dedicated to success, and it has a direct link to most Americans money.That job creating mechanism is the Small Business Owner. The efficiency of these operations is without peer, they have little fat, they have no tax base of fluff, they expect employees to work, and they succeed or fail on their own decisions.Maybe if one had a degree from Harvard, maybe if one had worked as a community organizer, maybe if one had worked in Chicago politics, one could figure how to make the energy bill serve as effectively as our small businesses in solving our unemployment crisis now not in the future.However, since most do not have those credentials, it may be time to ask, Now, where can I find that bikini?
